Hand-Crafted

Hand-Painted
Our Tiles are not made with a cookie-cutter system. No, we make them painstakingly one by one. They are hand-crafted, painted, and assembled without direct assistance from machines. Our Tiles will last a lifetime if handled with care and arrive in an ultra-gloss finish. We use only the best materials: from the finest premium white-fired ceramic tiles to the rich color-resistant over glazes, nothing is overlooked.

Lining & Painting
Our Tiles are created through a special process called tube-lining. It requires a lot of time and patience - An Artist draws out details throughout a blank white-fired tile with special tools filled with liquid clay. Drawn out clay acts as a color barrier that contains the over-glazes painted into the sections. Just think of this tube-line clay as the lines in a coloring book. Next the tile is hand-painted with rich colorful glazes and shades that set within the clay lines. At this point, the tile is complete and needs enormous amounts of heat to cure.

Kiln Firing
After the Artist is satisfied with his lines, glazes, and shading, we bring the almost-finished tile to one of our special electric kilns. We use a very elaborate firing process. The Tiles are fire baked and cooled throughout several cycles lasting over 24 hours total. During these kiln cycles, the internal heat reaches temperatures of over 2000° Fahrenheit. This immense heat creates very detailed lines and preserves the colors to last forever.

UPS Shipping
Our last manufacturing step includes gluing a velvet backing to each tile. The backing comes assembled with either a hanger or a flip-out stand - most tiles include both! Next, the finished Tiles are placed inside a decorative packing box, and then carefully packaged for UPS Ground Shipping.

In Your Home
Our Tiles are dynamic and suited for many purposes. They are perfect for indoor/outdoor décor - ready to be showcased or hanged on the wall. It is also applicable for construction uses including back splashes, focal points, mosaics, murals, tables, fountains, the possibilities are endless!
Note: You may see very fine cracks within the over-glaze. These are not very visible and are a by-product effect from our kiln fire manufacturing process. They add a rustic feature to the tiles with added texture.
